Annual report 2024

Dear friends, members and donors!

As I write this letter to you, our “A-Team” in Odessa is once again on its way to a bombing site. They are bringing blankets, tea, warm soup and comfort to places where people were torn from their homes or even their lives an hour ago. The Russian attacks have increased and they seem almost indiscriminate - they are no longer aimed at military targets, but at people like you and me.

I was still in Odessa myself in July of this year. From there, I drove to the front with our partners from New Dawn, which we helped to set up at the start of the war. We took relief supplies in a van to people who hardly anyone can reach. But some of the villages I have been to no longer exist after the recent attacks - they have been destroyed, people have fled or died. Unreal when I think about it now, and yet starkly real.

While politicians are discussing whether the war can somehow be ended or new defense systems can be sent, we and our partners continue to provide tireless aid - not only in Odessa, but also in many other places in Ukraine. Please help us to help them: We need at least 1 million euros in funding in 2025 to continue our work. Every euro donated goes entirely towards helping them, as our low administrative costs are already covered by income from the foundation's capital - we work mainly on a voluntary basis. We also reliably deliver pallets of donations in kind such as food, hygiene products, shoes, warm clothing etc. to where they are needed. Together we can make a difference.
